Welcome to the discussion of Terrorism and Racial Violence. Violence added to Terrorism and Racism is like riding a bike with flat tires up a hill. It only makes matters worse. The implications of Terrorism and Racism both have lasting and quite possibly detrimental results. Coupled with violence, one now has even grander negative implications on society.

Before discussing the implications of Terrorism and Racism, they must first be defined. Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines Terrorism as "the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion". It defines Racism as "a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race". Violence is defined as the "exertion of physical force so as to injure or abuse". In observing these three definitions, there are some similarities; research reveals some terrorist or racist acts are violent in nature.

This Wiki explores the social effects, related theories, media effects, statistics, and the criminal justice response to terrorism and racial violence. Presented areas have been supported with references and relevant website links for further independent research.
